We have an immediate opening for a Production Planner at our aerospace location in Melbourne, FL.
The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provides production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work In Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule
- Maintains integrity of the shop floor, MRP
- Process piece part movement to support internal build requirements through subcontractors, internal resources,
- Redirect and / or re-establish priorities, as required, in support of the Master Schedule
- Facilitate expedited material of critical part shortages to released work orders
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
- BS Degree and 2 years of experience in planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, and/or project management or associate's degree with 4 years' experience
- MRP Knowledge
- Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing
- Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts
- Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Experience with ERP Systems (preferably SAP)
