Position Summary
Ogletree Deakins Recruiting & Retention department has the opportunity for an experienced Recruiting Specialist to join the firm. Ogletree Deakins' Recruiting Team supports full-cycle recruiting efforts for all staff and legal positions firm-wide. Working closely with hiring managers and supported by the broader Recruiting team, the Recruiting Specialist is primarily responsible for all aspects of the recruiting cycle for business service professionals, including functional administrative roles and legal support roles, for multiple administrative teams and/or offices. The Recruiting Specialist will proactively source candidates for current and future hiring needs, while keeping the firm's core values and commitment to building diverse and inclusive teams top of mind. This position is hybrid and the successful candidate can sit in either our Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA office.

Essential Functions
- Ensure that the firm's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is embedded in all aspects of the recruiting cycle
- Communicate and collaborate with hiring managers, practice group leadership and office administrators across the firm to get a clear understanding of hiring needs and organizational goals
- Partner with hiring managers to implement and execute effecting sourcing strategies and processes. Provide hiring managers with proactive updates on active searches and pipeline metrics, target lists, recruiting activity, search strategy and talent assessment
- Develop a deep understanding of position requirements at all levels, draft job advertisements, and source talent that aligns with firm needs
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including but not limited to sourcing and reviewing candidates, conducting screening interviews, scheduling interviews, managing the offer process, processing conflicts and background checks and coordination of pre-hire onboarding efforts
- Screen resumes and applications, and conduct pre-screening interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit for the role and the firm
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment data in the applicant tracking system
- Partner with internal marketing and communications teams to develop new and innovative strategies to market the firm and its multiple departments to candidates
- Collaborate with other recruiting team members, HR, the career development team and local office administration to create a seamless and efficient approach to recruiting, onboarding and integration across offices
- Maintain strong knowledge of the legal market and industry trends
- As needed, coordinate alternative sources of legal talent (e.g., temporary staff, contract and staff attorneys)
- Assist with miscellaneous administrative and strategic projects as needed, as well as tracking and reporting firm-wide recruiting data
- Other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of high-volume recruiting experience, preferably in the legal or other professional services industry
- Experience with iCIMS applicant tracking system (or similar applicant tracking system) and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong commitment to client service
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a high-performing, fast-paced work environment
- Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills
- Ability to drive processes and tasks to completion and to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with state and federal laws related to hiring
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree in business, HR or related field
- Understanding and familiarity with the legal industry
- Experience conducting market research and sourcing candidates
- Experience with recruiting data analytics
- Experience recruiting from multiple sources, including on-line and social media
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
