Tesla Motors is hiring: Manufacturing Engineer, Battery Manufacturing Developmen

Tesla is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer to develop advanced processes and technology for our cutting-edge battery products. This position will drive technological advancement while industrializing novel approaches. Battery development is at the heart of our company, and this is an exciting opportunity to work directly on the central challenges with electric vehicles - battery cost and performance. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team on extremely challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate candidate process design architectures for new battery products
• Perform proof-of-concept to greenlight novel materials, methods and technology
• Guide cross-functional selection of optimal manufacturing strategy and definition of product-process interfaces
• Rigorously develop processes and equipment through maturity while supporting launch
• Advance company-wide process standards and knowledge base

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• Expertise in the data-driven development and launch of high-volume technical manufacturing processes including materials, product design, equipment, and infrastructure
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials, or equivalent experience
