Dedicated to innovation and excellence, our primary focus involves offering Tier 1 manufacturing support to the automotive OEMs. As we expand our operations, we are searching for a talented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to ensure the production of high-quality interior automotive parts at their new Hutto TX location. Summary of position: Success in this role will primarily be measured by the strong performance of key processes, including safety, production quality, reliability, and cost management. The ideal candidate will build effective relationships with department leaders and area management, demonstrate a relentless commitment to improvement, and excellence in problem-solving. This position will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by establishing production processes and supporting new and existing processes. The individual will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the production of high-quality interior auto parts. This is a great opportunity for an individual to provide support to the Manufacturing Department for safety, efficiency, quality, scheduling and problem solving. Responsibilities Create processes (sequences, methods, tooling, parameters, and instructions) for new product introductions Ensure that new process qualification plans are developed and executed promptly Define, stabilize, enhance, and support both new and existing processes Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for defined processes, including SOPs, work instructions, Job Safety Analysis, PFMEA, control plans, and First Article inspection sheets Implement timely and systematic improvements to process stability and performance through effective problem scoping, root cause analysis, experimentation, and the validation of solutions Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste and optimize value flow throughout the ship Systematically assess innovative manufacturing technologies and manage projects to implement these technologies effectively Work alongside engineering from headquarters to evaluate manufacturability and suggest practical design changes Provide guidance on changes in Bill of Materials (BOMs), suppliers, and other factors impacting product form, fit, and function Lead improvement initiatives from start to completion Ability to interpret data, conduct experiments, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in conveying complex information clearly to team members, stakeholders, and management. Strong teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Proven ability to enhance and implement automation in electrical and mechanical systems, including process mapping and analysis Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Previous automotive manufacturing experience a plus At least 2 years of direct experience with production equipment and maintenance Ability to work with existing PLC to troubleshoot, add sensors, add delays, etc. Ability to drive a robot, recover, teach positions, add minor program changes Familiarity with materials science, GDandT, enginee ing drawings, wiring diagrams and PLCs Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment and maintenance Experience in the design and application of produ
