Job Description

Our Manufacturing Engineers directly contribute to the growth of the company through the optimization of processes, products, and equipment in membrane casting and element assembly operations.
This position will work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, Sales Marketing, Maintenance, and Product Development to improve safety, decrease cost, improve quality, and increase capacity of the production line.
Provide engineering support to operations in areas of target attainment, process improvements, process troubleshooting, project management, cost reductions, tooling and material changes.
Research, design and implement cost effective manufacturing processes, methods and tooling for new and existing products.
Drive continuous improvement through innovative solutions that address equipment downtime, labor efficiency, labor cost, set-up time, quality and scrap. Contribute to the development and attainment of department goals.
Design and implement methods and gauges for quality prevention and detection. Initiate, justify and prepare capital appropriation requests and manage projects through completion.
Create work instructions and train manufacturing and maintenance in proper set-up and operation of new and existing processes and equipment. Support assigned departments to keep production running efficiently.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

BA Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Eng.
3+ yrs exp in manufacturing eng.
Knowledge of SolidWorks. Proficient in MS Office.

Skills Preferred

Experience in Lean manufacturing and implementing the tools, 5S, TPM, Production Basics, Six Sigma, etc.
