The Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Responsible for Engineering Changes. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new and revised products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Conduct time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations.
- Provide Industrial Engineering support to all manufacturing operations through the application of lean manufacturing / Kaizen principles.
- Responsible for Engineering Changes.
- Develop plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layout, set-up procedures while adhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies.
- Handle automation with robotic materials and parts.
- Develop and management of process FMEA's and other process documentation.
- Troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
- Develop, monitor and report production measurables and productivity incentive plans.
- Refurbishing and repurposing of equipment.
- Develop, monitor and report production measurables and productivity incentive plans.
- Support and trouble shoot 8D / Problem resolution methods.
- Responsible for IATF16949 documentation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- 3 plus years of work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

- Advanced knowledge of safety requirements
- Allen Bradley PLC programming and trouble shooting

- Knowledge of Six Sigma Concepts
- ERP experience, thorough understanding of setting up processes and BOM's
- Familiarity with automotive specifications
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers
