This role focuses on leading sustaining engineering projects to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC), improving manufacturing processes, designing and documenting tooling, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating between engineering and production teams. location: Wilsonville, Oregon job type: Contract salary: $57.14 - 67.58 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Lead sustaining engineering projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Initiate and implement programs to continuously improve manufacturing processes. Perform safety risk assessments and implement appropriate risk mitigations. Collaboratively develop tools, such as machine guarding, to drive safety metrics. Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet safety, quality, and production standards. Document all processes and tooling in applicable company systems (e.g., SAP, TLM). Serve as an interface between engineering and manufacturing/production teams. Maintain and adhere to all relevant specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer standards. Skills: Basic knowledge of tools specific to the role, such as CAD and CAE. Familiarity with industrial or quality engineering tools. Awareness of general engineering tools (e.g., DoE, FMEA, QFD, Lean, Six Sigma).
