This role is designated as On-site. This is a safety sensitive role.

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate, organize and supervise all production process methods and manufacturing engineering activities that enable production. This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.

Responsibilities:
•Owns commissioning Manages MOC (management of change) of new equipment into production by creating factory layouts, process maps, capability studies, equipment work instructions, run offs, and conducts training.
•Assumes responsibility for plant and site layout during re-arrangements.
•Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering
•Develops and implements recommendations for Improving Efficiency and Profitability of Plant
•Ensures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations.
•Manages all new product introductions with disciplined up-front manufacturing involvement and program management deliverable execution.
•Coordinates activities of sub-contractors and service reps
•Manages, develops, and improves all manufacturing standards including machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times.
•Manages and Supports assembly process and manufacturing execution systems (AES)
•Perform other duties as assigned.

•Assumes project responsibilities for Capital spends, Business Case Creation, PPM (project portfolio management) creations and Business Case Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, expense spending and budgeting.

•Supports Labor and O/H productivity SCRUM meetings with internal plant associates to meet AOP (annual operating plan) goal.

•Supports Material VA/VE meetings and savings with sourcing group and purchasing. •Implements product changes and process changes on the production floor related to risk elimination, cost improvement projects, production demand, workstation design, material presentation, etc.

Qualifications:
•Bachelors in Engineering.
•Preferred experience with project management or project launch.
•2+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Experience with Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Poke-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
•Ability to quickly determine root cause utilizing 8D's and 5 why tools.
•Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing.
•Knowledge of basic design and manufacturing datum development and its effect in manufacturing processes
•Low/High Voltage knowledge and troubleshooting.
•PLC programming a plus.

Key Competencies:
•Ability to utilize engineering principles to develop robust manufacturing processes the first time.
•Ability to use such management-leadership techniques such as project mgt., objective development and project review disciplines.
•Fluent knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, machining, assembly, and quality processes
•Strong leadership skills to drive engineering principles and processes.
•Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
•Understanding of Lean processes.
•Knowledge of new model launch requirements and processes to ensure flawless launch.
•Extensive computer Skills: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access, Pro E and AutoCAD
•Prefer experience with test software programming and modifications.
•Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.

Base Pay Range: $65,000- $90,000 annually.
