Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Pay Rate: $60/hr. on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 12 months or longer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for the assembly of spacecraft deployable mechanisms.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations and best practices.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- A minimum Bachelor's Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technical, Engineering, or Mathematical) and 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or an engineering-related field.
- Experience with spaceflight hardware is strongly preferred
