Crissair is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team that will be supporting our Machine Shop!

Summary
Plans and coordinates the manufacturing process. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and recommends work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Continually find ways to improve the quality and efficiency of producing products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
• Conceive and develop valid manufacturing solutions and processes through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices, and procedures.
• Ensure that all manufacturing procedures and processes conform to company and/or contract requirements for quality and performance.
• Use CAM software (ESPRIT/MasterCAM) to create CNC programs for parts.
• Use CAD software (Solidworks/Inventor) to design fixtures, tools and manufacturing aids to assist personnel in producing parts.
• Must have experience in designing fixtures and creating BOM & Routings.
• Must have experience in developing and creating processes & procedures.
• Compile and evaluate manufacturing data against product conformance standards and specifications.
• Design, develop, and modify tooling, devices, equipment, and processes as required to meet manufacturing needs by creating necessary drawings or updates to exiting drawings.
• Analyze, evaluate, and devise solutions to existing manufacturing problems.
• Review engineering drawings, RFQs, DMRs, procedures, and change orders.
• Plan, define, coordinate, and control the design and drawings of production tooling requirements in support of program needs.
• Work closely with other departments on multi-discipline projects in a self-directed team environment.
• Ability to conduct a Root Cause Analysis.
• Assist the Production Engineering Manager with projects and task, as needed.

Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in engineering field or equivalent from a four-year college and one-year related experience and/or training in a machine shop environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.

Math Skills
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to work with the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to comprehend and apply principles of calculus and modern algebra.
• Ability to work with concepts such as quadratic and differential equations.

Reasoning Skills
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer/ Technical/Office Skills
• Design Software (Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, etc)
• Preferred CAM Software (MasterCAM or Esprit)
• Preferred Training in Lean Six Sigma
• Basic windows/internet browser
• ERP/Inventory
• Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point
• Typing
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, manufacturing, and fabrication process
• Blueprint reading
• Engineering specs and procedures
• AS9100
• ISO 9001
