Main Duties & Responsibilities
JobSummary:
Plan, direct, control, and manage the activities involved with manufacturingprocesses to meet production requirements of a contract or program between thecompany and customer to ensure that fulfillment of all contractual and programrequirements is met. Help plan and drive tooling requirements and improvementsto increase output, improve quality and reduce cost.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturingprocesses.
Design and implement production assemblyfixtures and tooling.
Analyze manufacturing process flows to enhancequality, cost reduction, and productivity.
Collaborating with all departments regardingproduct design to ensure effective production methods.
Ability to clearly write or edit technicaldocumentation and assembly or process instructions.
Help trouble-shoot and drive root causeanalysis.
Conform to company safety policies andprocedures.
Work in both standalone and team environmentsto discover and implement solutions.
Analytical problem solving on manufacturingfloor.
Working across our teams to ensure alignmentof schedules and activities.
Conduct regular review meetings to ensure teamand schedule alignment.
Lead efforts from product and processdevelopment though transition to production manufacturing.
Engage suppliers to ensure a smooth interfacebetween our development teams.
Assist operations teams to research andresolve customer problems.
Facilitate communication between managementteam and customers.
Conform to company safety policies andprocedures.
Other duties as needed
The pay scale for this position ranges from $110,000- $125,000 annually.
QualificationsMinimumEducation & Experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree inMechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace or can demonstrateexceptional talent, experience and results in lieu of a degree.
5 -10 years' experience in relatedfield with 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing complex aerospacecomponents
Experience in metal processes (forming,cutting, welding, etc.) - metallic structure manufacturing preferred.
Experience with creating and evaluating3D models using SolidWorks (preferred) or other 3D CAD software
Must be able to read and interpretblueprints and specifications.
Must be able to initiate, work throughand close short- and long-term projects according to project schedule.
Must have ability to perform withambiguous and incomplete information in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical problem solving, criticalthinking, and being hands on are a must.
EssentialPhysical/ Mental Abilities Required:
Employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time,occasionally required to walk, climb
stairs, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), stand for extendedperiods of time on a shop floor,
talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 10pounds.
