What you will do
Responsible for developing and monitoring the execution of Continuous Improvement Projects, facilitating the plant's Kaizen events, monitoring the execution of the JCMS Action plan and managing savings projects to meet the annual plan.
How you will do it
• Responsible for managing and coordinating with project owners the support of continuous improvement tools for project execution.
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement Kaizen events within the Plant.
• Coordinate and implement savings projects to achieve the annual goal focused on conversion costs.
• Manage the continuous improvement and financial tracker using priority tools
• Lead the action plan and execution of MP's actions for compliance with the JCMS manufacturing system.
• Responsible for communicating and publishing to senior Management the monthly results of Continuous Improvement projects (cost-out).
• Responsible for the JCMS principles as a facilitator for Champions and Back ups
• As required, supports the organization as a mentor (coach) in the execution of CI Projects.
• As required, supports the organization as a trainer in Lean Manufacturing tools. (5S, Value Chain Mapping, Yamazumi, Std Work, Kaizen, TPM, Quick Change Over, Kanban, Heijunka, Problem Solving with A3/PDCA/8D's)
• Implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects using the A3 tool and Hoshin Kanri.
• Participate in the development of Mfg 4.0 applications in current processes and new products. Digitization, Automation and Integration.
• Support to Engineering in the Launch of new products applying Lean Mfg tools to have a continuous flow that allows achieving the goal of Service, Quality and Safety.
• Lay-Out Design, Line Balancing/Yamazumi, Standardized Work, Rapid Model Changes, Kanban for raw materials & Subassemblies, TPM Practices, Kaizen Events, Poka Yokes, Process Mapping.
• Participate in the design of the Manufacturing process for the introduction of new products with a focus on design for manufacturing (DFM).
• In conjunction with New Product Engineering, participate in the planning, management, implementation and control of the launch of new products following the JCI std process.
• Rigorously apply the comprehensive Quality, Safety and Environment management system.
• Apply the essential behaviors of Organizational Health to be a model of this culture and be an agent of change within the company.
• Develop and coordinate CAPEX projects until their capitalization process in a timely manner.
What we look for
Required
• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 Years suggested minimum experience.
• Solid understanding of lean principles and project management.
• Basic knowledge of Mfg 4.0
• Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
• Computer knowledge and mastery of the use and application of programs such as: Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Highly effective leadership and program management skills, able to manage both vertically and horizontally.
• Be passionate about the Lean philosophy and continuous improvement.
Ability to Influence others without authority to achieve results
Preferred
• Certification such as Green Belt.
• Experience in SPC and General Manufacturing Processes.
• Extensive knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
• Use of AutoCAD/Visio
• Experience in executing improvement projects.
