Essential Qualifications:
  1. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  2. Minimum of a high school diploma.
  3. Five years related experience as determined by pertinent administrative personnel.
  4. Acceptable statement of condition of health rendered by licensed physician with no medical restrictions on manual labor.
  5. Black Seal/Boiler's license required

Essential Functions:
  1. Care for school buildings and furnishings. Responsible for cleaning and routine maintenance duties in school, auxiliary buildings and yard. Vacuum, mop, sweep and/or scrub floors, halls and stairs. Empty trash containers and clean all glass surfaces - interior and exterior. Keep all dispensers and paper holders filled. Polish furniture, clean ceilings, walls and windows.
  2. Clean and sanitize toilet rooms, bathroom fixtures and drinking fountains.
  3. Move and arrange furniture and equipment; prepare classrooms and multi-purpose rooms for special events or meetings; set-up and assemble chairs, tables and other furniture and equipment for special events and activities; clean-up furniture, equipment and debris following events.
  4. Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, mops, small hand and power tools, buffer/scrubber machines, stem cleaners, plows, snow and leaf blowers and other equipment as assigned.
  5. Raise and lower flags. Ensure assigned areas are properly opened daily and fully secured upon completion of daily tasks, i.e., locking doors, gates and windows, turning off electrical units and set alarms as appropriate. Check that all exit doors and panic bars are working properly.
Salary Range: $35,000- $38,000 (negotiations pending)
