Custodian Job at Burmen Inc. in Williams

Burmen Inc. is looking for a Custodian to join our team. The Custodian will  handle General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.

This person should have a positive attitude, be enthusiastic and enjoy working with all types of people.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning: Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces
• Maintenance: Perform minor repairs like replacing light bulbs or unclogging pipes
• Stocking: Keep restrooms supplied with paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
• Trash: Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of trash in compactors or dumpsters
• Windows: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
• Equipment: Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment like floor buffers and power washers
• Grounds: Mow and trim lawns and hedges, and clean snow from sidewalks

Requirements:

• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Squat, twist, bend, and kneel while using tools and performing maintenance tasks
• Climb ladders and work from heights
• Be familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies
