About the Role
The Custodian will play a crucial role in keeping the FWF office running efficiently while maintaining a high level of cleanliness in our facility. This role will also assist office operations by providing clerical and administrative aid to support departments.
Shift & Hours | Pay:
Part-Time | Monday - Friday | 30 hours a week
Training Period
New custodial team members will undergo a comprehensive 2-week training program, designed to ensure a smooth transition into the role. During this time, hours may vary depending on specific training needs and job requirements. The training will cover essential tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment and chemicals.
Pay & Advancement
You'll be eligible for a pay raise after a 30-day satisfactory review. This review will assess your performance, work ethic, and how well you've adapted to the job responsibilities. A positive review will result in an increase in pay, reflecting your progress and commitment to the role.
Custodian Responsibilities:
Cleans & sanitizes office building, lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and kitchens by performing the following duties:
Dust furniture, ledges, and equipment
Empty and change liner in wastebaskets nightly as well as transport waste to the disposal area
Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, wet mops, scrapers, and/or heavy-powered scrubbers and buffers
Polishes stainless steel bathroom/kitchen fixtures
Replenishes product in dispensers throughout bathrooms and kitchen
Cleans carpeted floors and rugs using lightweight and/or heavy powered vacuum cleaner, hand sweeper, or shampooer as appropriate
Wash and clean windows, walls, and ceiling fixtures using ladders as needed
Restock & Inventory
Maintains accurate inventory reports of all consumables
Restock consumable supplies throughout the office daily
Other Duties
Assist in performing preventive maintenance tasks as assigned such as checking emergency lights, replacing light bulbs, cleaning exterior windows, and installing wall-hung items as needed
Maintain grounds around the outside of the office to keep free of trash and debris
General on-site errands as requested by team members
Qualifications & Key Competencies
Highly organized, detailed oriented, and an elite problem solver
Excellent time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn and grow project management systems
Physical activity required, may lift or move up to 40 lbs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
Custodial experience preferred
