Custodian Job at Prime Labor Inc. in Tulare

Prime Labor & Staffing currently has openings for Custodian positions. These are temporary full-time positions, approximately 960 hours in total, working with a city municipality. The shift is Monday - Friday and begins at 10am (hours may change).

Candidates must have previous custodial/janitorial experience. Must perform full range of custodial duties related to the care, routine maintenance, and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities. Will interact with and provide basic information and assistance to city staff and the public; and preform related work as required. This is experienced-level class that is responsible for performing the full range of custodial duties required to ensure that city buildings and facilities provide the highest level of sanitation and safety for the public and staff use.

Work duties include but are not limited to:
Cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities
Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors
Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
Replace and fix light fixtures, dusting and polishing furniture and equipment
Maintain grounds around buildings; sweep walkways, water plants and trees, clean building and facilities exterior

Must have knowledge of:
Proper cleaning methods and the safe usage of cleaning materials, disinfectants, custodial tools, and equipment
Use minor maintenance/hand and power tools and equipment used in custodial work. Basic handyman skills is a plus. 

Ability to:
Must be able to bend, lift, twist, stoop, reach, and climb to perform work
Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment

Candidate must have a valid driver's license, clean DMV for last 5 years, and previous custodial work experience to qualify for this position.
