Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of restrooms and public areas. This includes cleaning restroom commodes, vanities, toilets, urinals, floors, walls, and other surfaces. Additionally, the role involves mopping, vacuuming, cleaning glass surfaces, wiping down tables, disposing of trash and recyclables, changing liners, and ensuring overall cleanliness and replenishment of paper products in restrooms. The custodian must be capable of lifting and/or moving equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds, performing additional projects as assigned, and understanding the importance of product safety. Regular communication with occupants in assigned areas and providing feedback to supervisors is essential. Pay rate is between $21-$23 per hour based off of shift being worked. Responsibilities Provide daily cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of restrooms and public areas. Clean restroom commodes, vanities, toilets, urinals, floors, walls, and other surfaces. Mop, vacuum, clean glass surfaces, and wipe down tables in public areas. Dispose of trash and recyclables, change liners, and ensure overall cleanliness. Replenish paper products in restrooms. Lift and/or move equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds. Perform additional cleaning projects as assigned. Understand and implement product safety measures. Communicate regularly with occupants in assigned areas and provide feedback to supervisors. Perform other cleaning duties and tasks as directed by supervisors. Essential Skills High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and follow directions on products and material safety data sheets. Ability to follow instructions and operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently. Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds using proper techniques. Flexibility to work all three (3) shifts as assigned or due to emergencies. Ability to perform tasks such as snow removal to ensure community safety. Ability to perform other cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors or management. Work Environment This position is based in Philadelphia. Shifts vary between 1st shift (5:00am-1:30pm, 6:00am-2:30pm, 8:00am-4:30pm), 2nd shift (4:00pm-12:30am), and 3rd shift (12:00am-8:30am). The schedule may include non-traditional work weeks, such as Tuesday-Saturday with days off on Sunday and Monday. Orientation training will take place on the 1st shift for two weeks before starting the assigned schedule. The facility employs over 450 housekeeping staff.
