Forklift Operator
Ochlocknee, GA | Temp to Perm | $14.00 / Hour
A leading manufacturer and supplier of sorbent products is looking for a Forklift Operator. You will be responsible for ensuring lines are properly stocked with raw goods and finished product is removed in an efficient manner to ensure the flow of production.
Responsibilities
    • Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner
    • Performs pre-operational equipment checks and monitors forklift performance and gauges during operation
    • Bring raw material to packaging lines, and remove and store raw material after line changes over
    • Ensure the proper care and inspection of the product
    • Operate the stretch wrap machine and ensure pallets are wrapped appropriately before transport to warehouse
    • Removing finished goods from lines during the shift and properly stock in designated warehouse space
    • Keeps areas clean and free of clutter
    • Follows all safety rules and regulations
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Participates in improvement activities
    • Other actions as needed to satisfy company goals, process, and procedures and to uphold values of the company
Requirements
    • Meet assessment requirements
    • Must be able to read, comprehend, and act on product specifications, SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), PWI (Process Work Instructions), AIQ processes, and similar documents.
    • Possess ability to read and accurately interpret bills of lading
    • Ability to sit on forklift throughout shift
    • Lift 50 pounds frequently
    • Bending reaching, twisting, stooping, walking and climbing stairways and ladders frequently
    • Good sight and hearing to avoid hazard
    • Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask, protective coveralls, and pother as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment
Location: Ochlocknee, GA
Pay Rate: $14.00 HR./
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, some weekends
