Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead and coordinate the fabrication and assembly of structural products. Available on both Day and Night shifts, this role offers schedule flexibility. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in multiple welding processes, including Fluxcore, Pulse, and Spray, as well as complex blueprint reading skills specifically related to structural steel components. NAVSEA experience is a plus. This role requires a skilled leader capable of driving team performance and upholding the highest quality standards in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the fabrication and assembly of structural products on the Day or Night shift.
- Review work orders and complex blueprints to determine required materials and production steps.
- Ensure efficient material usage and maintain production goals.
- Inspect work in progress and completed products to meet quality standards.
- Perform welding using various methods, including arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, Fluxcore, Pulse, and Spray welding.
- Assemble and repair parts as needed, ensuring timely completion.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other machinery to support fabrication needs.
- Foster a positive work environment by managing team performance and resolving issues.
- Enforce company policies and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of advanced welding techniques, including Fluxcore, Pulse, and Spray welding.
- Exceptional skills in complex blueprint reading, especially for structural steel components (NAVSEA experience is a plus).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to operate shop cranes and forklifts.
- Availability for Day or Night shifts, with potential overtime.
