Job Responsibilities:

• Perform precision finishing on stainless steel, including #4 brushed and #8 mirror finishes, ensuring flawless surfaces that meet exacting architectural standards.
• Prepare surfaces using cleaning, deburring, and descaling techniques before polishing.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools such as polishing machines, buffing wheels, orbital sanders, and abrasive belts.
• Blend weld seams seamlessly into polished finishes for a consistent appearance.
• Inspect and verify components against blueprints using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gloss meters, and roughness testers.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure surfaces are free of streaks, scratches, or blemishes.
• Apply chemical treatments (e.g., passivation) to enhance corrosion resistance and surface durability.
• Collaborate with fabricators, engineers, and team members to ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA safety standards and proper handling of chemicals and tools.

️ Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in stainless steel finishing, with expertise in #4 brushed and #8 mirror finishes.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, including cleaning and defect removal.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and meet precise machining requirements.
• Proficiency with inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gloss meters) for quality assurance.
• Familiarity with chemical treatments such as passivation is a plus.
• Capable of handling complex shapes and geometries in architectural designs.
• Strong time management skills for balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.

⏰ Work Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Overtime available on Fridays (paid at 1.5x hourly rate).
