Responsibilities
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama is seeking a Sports Medicine fellowship trained, BE/BC orthopaedic surgeon to join the Division of Sports Medicine. The position offered will be at the Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor level, commensurate with the level of experience.
USA Health Sports Medicine covers the NCAA Division I USA Jaguar athletic teams comprised of eight men's and nine women's athletic sports as well as various high school teams. The division also includes primary care sports medicine specialists, athletic trainers and a physician's assistant. The recruited candidate will actively participate in the University and High School sports programs.
Applicants should possess a keen interest in academic medicine in the areas of patient care, medical education, and sports-related clinical and translational research. Teaching responsibilities with orthopaedic surgery residents and medical students is an integral part of the program.
Candidates who have completed an accredited training program, and are eligible for and maintain an unrestricted Alabama medical license are eligible to apply. Please attach a letter of interest and recent curriculum vitae.
