Job Summary
The Intramural Sports Coordinator (1500-hour, part-time) will serve as the primary manager of the intramural sports program and will assist with supervising the recreational facilities and club sports operations.
This position's primary responsibilities
- Hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating student staff of 25-50 employees.
- Provide direct supervision to student employees and ensure employee compliance with department expectations.
- Conduct ongoing student-employee training sessions and student-employee evaluations.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling and administration of intramural games, tournaments and special events.
- Maintain inventory of intramural equipment.
- Facilitate sport-specific captain and employee meetings.
- Compile and maintain intramural records, end-of-year reports, participation records, operations manuals, rules, etc.
- Manage schedules and supervision of outdoor recreational sports facilities
- Demonstrated ability to lead students
- Demonstrated experience in training and scheduling officials
- Knowledgeable about recreational programs and services
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Affiliation with regional or national sports associations (i.e. NFHS, NCAA, NAIA, ASA, NASO, etc.)
- Experience in a higher education environment
- Facility management experience
