Core Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled bench work to bring complex parts with tight tolerance to customer specifications by grinding, countersinking, spotfacing, sanding with hand tools and machinery, and adjusting parts, as needed, prior to inspection.
- Drill, rivet, and assemble parts to close tolerance.
- Use a variety of precision measuring devices to gauge and measure conformance of parts to customer specifications.
- Determine necessary steps to correct any non-conforming parts and bring them into conformance by working with engineers, managers, and quality personnel to resolve issues.
- Use and interpret complicated prints, drawings, and process sheets to perform a variety of layouts.
- Complete all required documentation identifying the operations performed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and support 6S.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous assembly experience in aerospace preferred.
- Able to operate drills, grinders, drill press, fiber wheels, orbital sander, riveters, and countersinks.
- Able to read, interpret and follow blueprints, engineering drawings and operation sheets.
- Experience in use precision measuring instruments and interpret data and make conclusions.
- Able to plan and perform unusual or difficult work processes.
- Strong organizational skills to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Basic computer skills
- High School diploma required.
