  • Proficient in drawing, polishing, or grinding die cavity surfaces
  • Ability to build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints
  • Experienced in performing welding duties in both foundry and Die Repair Department
  • Capable of training new employees effectively

Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions and information from the Team Leader and/or Supervisor
  • Transport, clean, disassemble, repair, and reassemble casting and trim dies
  • Build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts from blueprints
  • Polish or grind die cavity surfaces as required
  • Make repairs and troubleshoot production tooling problems
  • Perform welding duties as needed
  • Complete necessary forms, die work orders, pictorials, and records
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area and equipment
  • Train new employees and assist with their onboarding
  • Perform all other duties assigned for efficient operation

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems
  • Up to 2 years of training required, with potential for on-the-job training
  • Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers is a plus, but not required

Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree, trade or technical school, or journey person certificate preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Technical or vocational training related to tool and die repair

Experience Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of specific experience required
  • On-the-job training available for candidates lacking the minimum experience
