Job Summary

The Administrative Support Specialist provides an internal and external interface between S&T executive offices and mission focal points.

Essential Functions

  • Schedule all relevant follow-up meetings for department leadership
  • Schedule weekly meetings
  • Solicit and draft agenda items from Leadership weekly meeting
  • Draft and post weekly minutes for the weekly meeting
  • Collaborate with various EAs within DHS to schedule important tasks
  • Monitor weekly schedule and changes.
  • Invite key presenters to scheduled meetings
  • Schedule all relevant follow-up meetings
  • Knowledge capture for Strategic Acquisition Initiative

Job Specifications

The Administrative Support Specialist is adept at preparing, reviewing, sending and tracking electronic, verbal and written communications from a variety of documents and electronic files in a variety of formats. The Administrative Support Specialist is also adept with the design and preparation of graphics presentations and can compile input from multiple sources to create a coherent presentation. The successful candidate understands core software usage concepts and can utilize such products for accounting, personnel, or material management.

Education

BA/BS or higher in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social science, Education, Human Resources.

Experience

5 - 10 years’ experience in clerical, secretarial, and or administrative support to senior leadership

Must be able to pass DHS Suitability
