Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of inventory of products, materials, and raw ingredients. This role ensures that physical inventory matches system inventory and plays a key role in identifying and reviewing inventory discrepancies. The Material Coordinator works closely with the Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager to monitor high-value items and rapidly consumed materials, ensuring proper consumption and addressing any discrepancies. Additionally, this role collaborates with the Production Department to ensure raw materials are consumed according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles and investigates root causes of inventory issues. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory of products, materials, and raw ingredients. Ensure physical inventory matches system inventory. Identify and review inventory discrepancies. Monitor high-value items and quickly consumed materials. Notify Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager of any inventory discrepancies. Collaborate with the Production Department to ensure proper consumption of raw materials in Work Orders. Ensure raw materials are consumed by FIFO principles. Investigate and find root causes of inventory issues. Essential Skills Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient math skills. Basic computer skills. Basic Excel skills. Ability to drive heavy equipment such as Forklift, Electric Lift, and Pallet Jack. Ability to operate a Mobile Scanner Device (RF gun) for inventory tracking and control. Excellent team player. Professional in work activities. Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with schedule including weekends, holidays, and off-shifts. Compliance with company attendance and punctuality policy. Ability to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner. Adherence to a drug and alcohol zero tolerance policy. Compliance with all food safety and third-party certification policies (SQF, Gluten-Free, and Organic, etc.). Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. 2 years' relevant shipping and receiving work experience required. 1-2 years' inventory experience preferred. 1-2 years' experience operating Forklift / Industrial Equipment. 1-2 years' experience using company's ERP system and/or choice of software. The work environment includes shifts as follows: 1st shift (5am to 3:30pm), 2nd shift (3:30pm to 12am), and 3rd shift (12am to 8:30am). Schedules may change weekly, with updates posted on Thursdays. Employees are expected to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. The job requires continual walking and standing on hard surfaces, driving heavy equipment, and exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. The physical demands include continual bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50
