Eastern New Mexico University participates with the , , and
Paid Time Off During the first year of service, full time non-exempt (hourly) employees accrue 7 hours of annual leave and 7 hours of medical leave per month. During the second year of service, full time non-exempt employees accrue 10 hours of annual leave and 10 hours of medical leave per month. During the third and subsequent years of service, full time non-exempt employees accrue 14.66 hours of annual leave and 14 hours of medical leave per month.
Employees must work for the University for three months before they are eligible to use annual leave. Leave accruals will be pro-rated for part time employees. Temporary employees do not accrue leave.
Employee Educational Assistance Plan Eastern New Mexico University offers a tuition waiver for regular employees and retirees. This program waives the tuition for one course (up to four credit hours) per semester. Employees' spouses may be eligible to use the tuition waiver during any semester that it is not being used by the employee.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning in all areas of a building and floor areas such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing
- Clean bathrooms and refill supplies
- Collect trash from receptacles and empty into designated areas
- Lock and unlock doors as required
- Clean porches, entrances and windows of buildings
- Clean, store and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
- Serve as on-call personnel to assist in emergency clean up
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to observe and use safe working conditions
- Ability to use and care for janitorial supplies, chemicals and equipment
- Ability to use a 6ft ladder
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and furniture regularly
- Ability to operate a buffer, small tools and other equipment related to custodial duties

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
- Work is performed predominantly inside with some outside work
- Work involves exposure to hazardous conditions with fumes, odors, and toxic situations
- Employee may be exposed to blood borne pathogens
- Work requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
