Anaplan is looking to hire a Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager to join our accounting team. This crucial role will assist in our financial reporting process and equity accounting while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role will be reporting to the Director of Accounting and Reporting. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a hybrid work schedule, with at least two days/week in our San Francisco office.

Your Impact

  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual reports including research and draft newly applicable disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Perform benchmarking analysis of peer disclosures in the annual report as applicable.
  • Prepare and/or review supporting schedules for financial statements, footnote disclosures, management discussion and analyses, and maintaining complete tie-out documentation, including planning and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly close reporting package to senior management, including variance analysis and performance metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for responsible accounting subject matters, including stock-based compensation of profit interest and similar awards.
  • Support scaling our processes through automation by working on system implementations and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment, updating controls and processes as needed.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors with interim review and annual audit requests.
  • Assist in evaluating accounting treatment for unusual transactions, documenting assessments and conclusions in accounting memoranda as needed.
  • Assist in various ongoing and ad-hoc projects or initiatives as needed.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other relevant or related field or equivalent experience, CPA a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, including 2-3 years of relevant experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting, with a mix of Big 4 accounting firm and private/publicly traded companies.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Previous role(s) should include audit or corporate accounting.
  • Experience in Workday is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting of profit interest awards is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional, and data-driven role.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Base Salary Range

$114,000—$153,000 USD
