Aon Reinsurance is looking for a Managing Director for our Mortgage Credit Reinsurance Analytics Practice. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Aon Reinsurance business group. The qualified candidate can be based out of our Chicago office or work remotely.

Your Impact as a Managing Director

This role is for an individual with a strong analytics background, ideally in finance, insurance, or consulting. The individual will work with cross-functional teams and other analytics professionals to deliver value-added reinsurance solutions to our clients. Managing Directors are expected to be proficient in standard analyses while also creating more advanced analyses as needed. You will become familiar with Aon’s tools and approach, contribute to our client’s development, and present Aon’s solutions and services to our clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Analyze the costs and benefits of credit default risk transferred under mortgage reinsurance agreements via pricing and capital analyses and dynamic cashflow modeling.
  2. Prepare client-ready presentations to communicate analysis results to brokers and clients.
  3. Work with colleagues (brokers, analytics, and others) to identify and respond to client needs and develop additional opportunities related to the credit and mortgage space.
  4. Inventory and manage data related to the analysis of mortgage reinsurance transactions.
  5. Understand mortgage reinsurance contracts and products (terminology, terms, and conditions).
  6. Manage workflow proactively.
  7. Take initiative on internal projects to improve processes, products, or services.
  8. Take ownership and responsibility for quality, accuracy, and timely completion of analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 7 years of experience in an analytics-centric environment.
  2. Financial modeling, consulting, reinsurance, or credit default analytics experience preferred.
  3. Strong proficiency in R (or similar programming language), SQL, and MS Office suite, particularly Excel/VBA and PowerPoint.
  4. Dynamic Financial Analysis or Economic Capital Modeling experience are a plus.
  5. Pre-ACAS if pursuing actuarial credentials.
  6. Ability to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically, and analytically.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  8. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  9. Strong ability to understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Degree required in the field of Actuarial, Math, Economics, Finance or related degree.
