This summer internship at Harmony offers a unique perspective into a rare-disease focused biotech company. Our internship program will provide you the opportunity to work on real-world projects, as well as network with people at Harmony through various events and activities.

This position will work on the Supply Chain Operations team at Harmony.

Supply Chain Operations is responsible for:

  • Operational general oversight, supply, and manufacturing coordination involving drug substance and drug product contractors, and direct oversight of packaging and distribution operations.
  • Execute Commercial Supply and Development activities and manage day-to-day transportation and logistics for Harmony to ensure uninterrupted supply of pharmaceutical drug products of the highest quality for our patients.
  • Ensure documentation completeness and accuracy to meet regulatory/industry standard (SEC/GAAP, FDA, US Customs) requirements.

This internship will work on one or more projects in the areas of:

Global Logistics, Trade Operations, Trade Compliance,

  • Support the management of shipments of clinical and commercial inventory from the Contract Manufacturing sites to various clinical depots and/or Contract Packaging sites.
  • Support global import/export activities to ensure compliance with international transportation and U.S. Customs Border Patrol regulations.
  • Support maintenance of all import/export files, documents, logs, etc. per internal SOP's which help ensure Harmony's Contract Manufacturers and Distribution Partners move goods throughout the Supply Chain according to verified and compliant processes.
  • Support monthly reconciliation of Harmony inventory assuring a timely month end financial close.
  • Write or optimize Supply Chain-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).

There may also be other projects and initiatives within the team that may require support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age for all candidates must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a rising sophomore, junior or senior, Supply Chain or Engineering-related major preferred.
  • Must be proficient in use of MS Excel, MS SharePoint/Teams
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration and inclusion skills, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

  • Manual dexterity required to use computers, tablets, and cell phone.
  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.
