At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are-with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Moody’s is the world's leading provider of analytics and decision science solutions for the quantification and management of catastrophic risks throughout the world. As pioneers in the development and application of advanced statistical and numerical modeling methods, we produce the most detailed and comprehensive models of natural catastrophes and their impacts. Our clientele spans several hundred entities, including insurance and reinsurance companies, brokers, banks, hedge funds, regional and local governments, and multilateral agencies.

In response to the escalating financial impact of Severe Convective Storm (SCS) events, which are becoming increasingly frequent and severe, our team of scientists is at the cusp of introducing a revolutionary class of models for both SCS and Winterstorm (WT) risk. These models are meticulously designed to address the open challenges faced by the market, setting a new standard in the industry. To complement this groundbreaking work, we are seeking to bolster our Model Product Management team by inviting a highly talented individual to lead the scientific and business success of our new North America SCS and WT models. The position is full time, at Director level and ideally based in US or London. Some business travel will be required.

The Model Product Management team plays a crucial role in defining products used by the (re)insurance and financial industry to quantify catastrophe losses and manage exposure portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge in SCS and WT perils, a deep understanding of the insurance and risk management landscape, and experience in product management processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about applying scientific and engineering-based methods in business applications and keen on blending technical expertise with a product management role. While concentrated on North America SCS and WT perils, the role necessitates close collaboration with Product Managers of other perils.
