Incumbent performs skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of light and heavy motorized city equipment, including diesel. Under direction of the Public Works Supervisor/Mechanic Leadworker, employees of this class are expected to exercise independence in repair work on automobiles, trucks, snow removal equipment, light and heavy mechanized equipment, public safety equipment, and other similar equipment.
