Job Description
We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team!
In the HR Generalist role, you will be responsible for completing a variety of duties that contribute to and support the daily operations of the Human Resources Department. This includes recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefit administration, and performance management. You will be working as part of a team to provide Human Resources support for the entire organization.
Position Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Wages: $26.23 - $27.15 hourly

Responsibilities:
- Process and post job requisitions and develop effective methods of recruitment to support the staffing needs of the organization.
- Review employment applications and conduct initial pre-screening and phone interviews.
- Assist managers as needed to facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Process applicant background checks as need for appropriate positions through the ADP.
- Conducts onboarding of new employees and performs data entry tasks related to employment.
- Interact with managers to support and consult on any employee relations questions or concerns.
- Obtain a working knowledge of all Goodwill policies and procedures to offer guidance and answer questions.
- Conducts employee investigations, coach’s managers in documentation of employee incidences, refers disciplinary actions to the HR Manager.
- Oversee employee benefits program, including benefit plan administration, enrollments, creating benefit presentations, and implementing annual open enrollment process.
- Oversee performance appraisal process.
- Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs as needed.
- Assist employees with requests for FMLA, ADA accommodation requests, and all other leave requests.
- Seek information to stay current with all Human Resources regulatory standards.
- Maintain HRIS System, performs data entry, and creates reports as needed.
- Have regular contact with team members and leadership. Maintain knowledge of company to provide outstanding Human Resources service and support.
Qualifications:
- BA degree preferred in related area of study, or
- Two-year degree with two years’ experience in Human Resources, or
- High School diploma with minimum of four years’ experience in HR and proven leadership abilities.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- Must possess computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word
- Must possess good speaking voice and language skills. The ability to effectively communicate in a courteous manner is vital.
- Must have reliable personal transportations, valid drivers license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ongoing changes in the workplace.
- Acceptable criminal background check upon hire.
