Responsibilities
Client is recruiting for a highly experienced and effective project manager to manage projects that directly align with the utility's strategic plan. This position will report to the Transmission + Substation Project Management Supervisor and will be responsible for end-to-end project completion. Transmission + Substation Project Management Team is looking for project managers that can help manage the team's portfolio of projects and streamline program management with Data Visualization tools / software. Assist in keeping stakeholders informed by maximizing the use of data visualization technology. The successful candidate will have exceptional skills in project management and change management with experience managing technical projects, implementing project management software / tools including data visualization, business process recommendations, project budgets, project schedule and deliverables. The candidate must also exhibit demonstrated success in managing stakeholder relations and working with vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.

Experience demonstrating application of project management techniques, schedule, budget, WBS (work breakdown structure) development, and coordination of people and resources

- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial processes, reporting workflows, and Excel-based models.
- Data Management: Work closely with the team to implement tools and technologies for data management, ensuring alignment with governance, quality, and security standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, adjusting plans as needed to maintain project success.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and risk assessments, and track project milestones.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.
- Resource Management: Coordinate resources and personnel across departments to meet project objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct project reviews, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment with best practices in project management.
- Training and Transition: Develop training and transition plans for team members, ensuring successful project handoffs.
