ROLE OVERVIEW
The Global Director of Sourcing and Procurement is a pivotal leadership role within Lindblad Expeditions, responsible for spearheading the company's strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives on a global scale. This position plays a critical role in optimizing the company's supply chain, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services, and fostering strong relationships with vendors. The Global Director will align procurement strategies with Lindblad's overarching business goals, driving operational efficiency, mitigating risks, and promoting collaboration across multiple departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM Qualifications
$144,000 - $168,000 a year
This role is eligible for an annual bonus, based on performance.

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership -----
- Provide overall direction and leadership for the Company's expedition travel sourcing, procurement and warehouse activities, focusing on cost reduction, risk mitigation and process improvements.
- Influence and guide large-scale strategic sourcing and purchasing decisions to support business goals.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities and initiatives to enhance profitability and achieve Company objectives.
- Mentor and develop the skills of sourcing, procurement and warehouse teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
- Process/Vendor Relationship -----
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with travel industry and other vendors to ensure service quality, cost efficiency
- Negotiate and manage contracts including, but not limited to, hotel, air and tour operator contracts, to maximize value and minimize risks
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure and report procurement and warehouse performance
- Prepare and recommend operational and personnel budgets, monitor expenditures and recommend adjustments as needed
- Monitor and measure procurement effective against established metrics
- Standardize procurement practices, streamline processes and operational standards
- Develop, implement and enforce policies in category management, supplier relationship management and purchasing and warehouse management
- Change Management -----
- Build alignment with various departments on sourcing strategies and procurement processes to meet organizational needs
- Facilitate change management initiatives across departments to ensure seamless adoption of sourcing and procurement improvements.
MINIMUM Qualifications
- 10+ years guiding large-scale strategic sourcing and purchasing decisions to support business goals.
- 5+ years in procurement or supply chain management with at least 3 years in a leadership role (managing direct reports).
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations that drive profitable decision-making across the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to influence strategic decisions and lead change management initiatives through excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach - across internal teams and with external vendors.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
- B.A. / B.S. in Finance or Business, or equivalent industry experience
- Must be able to work onsite in our NYC offices 2-3 days p/week
