We are looking to add a Heavy Equipment Operator to our team!
Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
•Acts in a professional and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
•Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
•Good follow-through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise.
•Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.
•Maintains the Landfill with the assigned equipment.
Qualifications
•Includes: Lifting, Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Standing, Squatting/Kneeling, Walking, Speaking, Hearing, Vision, and Manual Dexterity.
•Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions, and other business interactions.
•Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
•Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification.
•Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools.
•Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.
•Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
•Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel.
•Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
•Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements.
Minimum Requirements:
•2-3 years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation preferred.

- Inspecting equipment before and after operations to uphold cleanliness standards of windows, lights, mirrors, and rear-view cameras in accordance with EcoSouth's guidelines.
- Safely and efficiently operate designated equipment, such as excavators, forklifts, bulldozers, and front-end loaders, while following safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor waste materials to identify any unauthorized items.
- Maintain equipment in optimal working condition to minimize downtime by conducting necessary track or wheel cleaning.
- Adhere to safety protocols outlined by the company and OSHA regulations.
- Perform any additional job duties as needed.
