Bullitt County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to train on specialized mine equipment for our operation located in Shepherdsville, KY. Full-Time

1st Shift: 06:00 am - 4:00 pm

Wages starting at $24.00/hr. for candidates with little experience. This position requires that the candidate be an experienced and skilled operator. Selection and compensation will be determined based on the experience and skill set of the candidate.

Job Duties:

* Primarily operate a drilling machine or a roof bolter in an underground environment on our production crew.

* Openness to operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, dredge, and general work around the quarry operation

* Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies

* Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management

* Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency

* Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment

* Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

* Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times

* Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry

* Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment

* Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork

* Experience operating heavy equipment required

* Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary

* Team player attitude

* Must pass pre-employment drug screening
