We are looking for seasoned engineers to join our Dojo test and validation team, in the capacity of a low voltage systems specialist. Your job is to collaborate with teams across the Dojo program to ensure that the hardware meets our high performance and reliability standards. As a validation engineer, you will be among the first users of newly developed Dojo products, and you will serve as the key knowledge holder of Dojo validation. You will identify product failures and drive corrective actions, all to ensure the long-term success of the Dojo platform.

* Own and develop detailed life cycle validation plans for low voltage electronic systems to be used in Tesla's Dojo product line

* Identify key engineering questions and own experimental design that drive towards improvement of the understanding, characterization, quality and reliability of electronics products

* Develop custom infrastructure like PCBs, FW and software tools, to be used for product validation and production with features including sensors, power conversion and delivery, telemetry and data post processing functionalities

* Develop and maintain automated test HW/SW to streamline execution, data collection and processing

* Lead cross-functional effort between engineers, PMs, suppliers regarding failure analysis, RCA and fix recommendation efforts for failure modes identified over the life cycle of the product and representative validation phases

* Degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience

* 4-7 years of experience in low voltage electronics design, validation with full cycle visibility from benchtop to post production

* Demonstrated experience in electrical design and analysis using tools like Altium, Cadence, Ansys AEDT or equivalent software

* Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals, and experience with standard lab equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, o-scopes, DMMs etc.)

* Experience with Linux systems and scripting experience with Python, bash etc. for test automation and data processing

* Genuine curiosity to figure out why something does not work and demonstrated experience in debugging and troubleshooting technical problems

* Eagerness to be hands-on, understand how to interact with a system and automate repeatable tasks. Dive for efficiency and hate seeing someone spend time on something that a script, fixture or a robotic system could do better
