At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses. The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries.

What you’ll be doing

Own the product vision and roadmap for the current and future generations of delivery robots (from their capabilities, design, to cost) as well as the support products for daily operations (from charging and data offloading to deployment improvements). 

Work cross functionally with every stakeholder from Operations, Hardware engineering, Software, and Design to urban policymakers to define the opportunities, measure performance, and iterate.

Responsibilities
  • Own the cross functional roadmap for hardware features that push forward the robots’ delivery capabilities, safety while balancing the need to scale and cost down

  • Develop requirements, user stories, and acceptance criterias that distill real world events, stakeholder feedback, technical trade-offs, and data analysis into actionable features  

  • Inform the next generation of robots by setting requirements from cargo capabilities to sensor capabilities to speed, steering, and beyond

  • Own the roadmap for auxiliary products that help operations scale 1,000s of robots into new Operational Domains (from charging to secure storage)

  • Help inform new sensor selection based on business requirements and partnership needs

Qualifications
  • 7+ years shipping features, products, and/or product lines as a Technical Product Manager/Product Owner with experience in Autonomy and/or Robotics or IoT devices

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly craft requirements that concisely articulate the problem and approach  

  • Experience partnering with diverse Engineering disciplines from hardware to software

  • Technically fluent and a fast learner who will be comfortable discussing technical approach and tradeoffs  

  • Passionate about diving into the data with experience using data to drive new feature development and post-launch optimizations

  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robots, or drones

  • Experience with safety-critical systems

  • Hands-on experience with hardware and physical prototyping

Compensation Range: $180K - $334K
