Position Summary:

The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will work directly with the Hiring Committee and Legal Talent Department to evaluate the firm's recruitment of summer associates and patent professionals, develop and implement an effective year-round hiring strategy, and coordinate hiring activities throughout their pre-employment cycle. Responsibilities also include coordinating the planning, logistics and communications for the firm's annual summer associate and scientific advisor and patent agent (SAPA) programs, as well as other student recruitment and engagement activities throughout the year.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate the direct application, resume collection and interview process and communications for the firm's summer associate and SAPA programs, including interview scheduling and confirmations, candidate feedback and evaluations, and extension of offers. Maintain all files and tracking of candidate status and interactions through the Applicant Tracking System (FloRecruit).
  • Support the Hiring Committee and Legal Talent Department with planning, logistics and communications for the summer associate and SAPA programs, including onboarding, orientation, work allocation, social events, feedback and evaluations, and extension of return or permanent offers. Maintain various Department and Hiring Committee reports related to summer associate and patent professional recruitment.
  • Identify suitable on-campus and firm-sponsored recruiting and engagement events throughout the year at designated schools (e.g., career fairs, seminars and career development panels, mock interview workshops, mentoring programs, receptions and social events, etc.). Coordinate logistics and communications.
  • In partnership with the Hiring Committee and Legal Talent Department, develop, implement, and maintain a year-round strategy for meeting the firm's recruitment and hiring goals as they relate to summer associates, patent professionals, and first-year attorneys.
  • Build ongoing relationships with career development office (or equivalent) leaders at designated schools, and coordinate and assist assigned attorneys with similar efforts.
  • Update and maintain recruitment content on the firm's intranet, website, social media, and other recruiting platforms as appropriate, including information related to the firm's application process, and relevant scholarship, fellowship and internship programs for students.
  • Participate in and contribute to special projects and initiatives related to recruitment and talent acquisition. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and student engagement.
  • Assist in the preparation of the firm's recruiting, summer associate and SAPA program budgets.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 5 years of experience in similar field.
