Job Description
We are searching for a Housekeeping Staff/Aide to join our community that is resident and family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The primary purpose of this job is to perform the day-to-day activites of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our faclity and as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or the Executive Director. You would be responsible for maintaining a clean and comfortable environment in the facility.
STATUS: non-exempt/full-time
SHIFT: 6a-2p/7a-3p
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- On a daily basis, clean all areas of the facility assigned.
- Adhere to all facility sanitation, safety, and infection control procedures.
- Report any maintenance problems noted during cleaning routine.
- Keep equipment and carts clean.
- Maintain documentation, such as cleaning logs, as directed.
Specific Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas.
- Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess, as a minimum, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years housekeeping experience in a medical facility. (preferred)
