Events Marketing Lead As Nexus’ Events Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for elevating our presence in the zero knowledge cryptography and broader Web3 communities. In this role, you will design, manage, and execute a robust event strategy that showcases our mission and technology to the world. You’ll work closely with a world-class team of innovators, translating technical advancements into compelling, high-impact event experiences that drive awareness, adoption, and engagement across the global Web3 ecosystem. About Nexus The Nexus Project is a scientific and engineering effort bringing truth to the field of computation. We’re enabling a new form of compute: verifiable computation, powered by open science and open-source software so it can benefit everyone. Our work aims to bring to life decades of advancements in zero-knowledge cryptography, achieved by many scientists, engineers, and mathematicians, into a single software system. Nexus raised $25M in Series A funding, co-led by Lightspeed and Pantera, with participation from Dragonfly, SV Angel, and more. Our team consists of some of the world's top cryptographers, mathematicians, and engineers, all working together with one goal: to unite the world's computers and prove humanity's computations. We are headquartered in San Francisco, but this role is based in the APAC region. Job Overview Our Events Marketing Lead will design, manage, and execute a wide range of events — from global conferences to casual happy hours and community meetups — that position Nexus at the forefront of zero knowledge cryptography space. Your work will bridge marketing innovation with community engagement, driving visibility, adoption, and advocacy for our products and mission. Responsibilities Event Strategy & Planning Develop and execute a strategic events roadmap to position Nexus as a leader in verifiable computation and zero-knowledge cryptography. Identify and prioritize key conferences, hackathons, meetups, and sponsorship opportunities within our ecosystem. Create Nexus-hosted events to share our mission and technology with developers, partners, and members of our community. Event Execution & Management Lead end-to-end event management, including logistics, speaker preparation, vendor relationships, and on-site coordination. Work closely with Nexus’ Brand and Marketing teams to craft narratives and content that resonate with diverse audiences. Execute events ranging from Nexus-hosted conferences to local happy hours and meetups. Marketing & Promotion Drive pre-event, live, and post-event marketing campaigns to maximize reach and impact. Partner with leaders, researchers, and organizations in the cryptography and Web3 spaces to expand Nexus’ influence and thought leadership. Community Engagement Foster relationships with key developers, researchers, and ecosystem partners to build collaborative event opportunities. Engage actively in relevant online forums, communities, and social platforms to represent Nexus and its mission. Performance Measurement Set KPIs for event success, including attendance, engagement, and ROI. Analyze post-event outcomes to refine strategies and ensure alignment with Nexus’ broader goals. Requirements Experience: 5 years in event marketing or program management, with at least 2 years in a Web3 role. Proven success in managing large-scale conferences, hackathons, and local meetups Skills: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on results and impact. Ability to think strategically and build plans that support a big picture vision. Attributes: Should have a zero-to-one, builder mentality. Comfortable working in a technical environment and collaborating with experts in cryptography and engineering. Willingness to travel globally to represent Nexus at high-profile events.
