Job Description
The Advanced Microscopy team has a great opportunity for a
Materials Analyst
to join our dynamic Dual Beam group at the Raleigh, NC lab. Primary function includes TEM sample preparation of lamella for imaging of client samples from various industries using Dual Beam FIB tools. The successful candidate will work as a part of a team and be expected to rapidly gain a working knowledge of many materials characterization and analytical techniques. A typical day would involve: Primarily working in the lab using dual beams (SEM-FIB) to prepare high quality TEM lamella on novel materials and advanced semiconductor devices. Working closely with immediate supervisor and team members to optimize workflow and efficiency. Collaborating with clients and other teams to understand analysis needs and standard procedures to achieve high quality results. Work Schedule: 5pm-2am, Tuesdays to Saturdays EAG Laboratories operates in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulation
ITAR . This role is subject to ITAR – candidates must identify as a US Person (Citizen or Permanent Resident) as you will be exposed to, managing, sharing, safeguarding, and disseminating technical information in accordance with policy and law. (ITAR, 22 CFR §120-130). Qualifications BS or MS in Materials Science and Engineering or related field or equivalent industry experience (No PhDs please). FIB-SEM operation experience or understanding of basic principles. Solid understanding of electron microscopy, semiconductor device physics and failure analysis (through previous work experience or course work). Problem solver, team player; thrives in a fast paced environment. What would set you apart: Expert with SEM/EDX or TEM sample preparation. Excellent communication skills (written/presentation) with clients and internal teams.
