Job Title: Software Architect
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Software Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and preparing Scopes of Work (SOW) and technical requirements, performing model-based traceability reviews for GCIA requirements, and understanding how GCIA impacts performance specifications to identify compliance gaps. This role involves cross-reviewing multiple areas in system models to identify contradictions and errors, reviewing contract deliverables, and tracking contractor architecture decisions. You will provide technical advice, manage risks and issues, and track MS&A efforts to inform requirements. Responsibilities Write and prepare Scopes of Work (SOW) and technical requirements. Perform model-based traceability reviews for GCIA requirements. Understand how GCIA impacts performance specifications to identify compliance gaps. Cross-review multiple areas in system models to identify contradictions and errors. Review contract deliverables such as system architecture models, test plans, test reports, data model artifacts, and vehicle electronics architecture. Track contractor architecture decisions, design decisions, and MS&A efforts. Provide technical advice in competency areas to staff. Track and manage risks and issues. Essential Skills Extensive experience in model-based systems (SysML, CAMEO, MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, etc.) Experience in performing model-based traceability reviews and model reviews. Extensive experience in creating software architecture for embedded systems, preferably 10+ years of experience. Technical knowledge in system level design of systems, subsystems, and components for computing, signals, system safety, cybersecurity, networking, electronics, and software. Experience with GCIA and military program management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school. OMG SysML Model Builder Fundamental or Higher certification. Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from home and on-site. Currently, the expectation is to be on-site one day a week at the Detroit Arsenal, potentially increasing to three days per week. This role offers a great opportunity to work on a military vehicle platform with high visibility, prioritizing work/life balance and offering great benefits and a supportive working atmosphere.
