DePuy Synthes, a part of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech sector, is recruiting for a Spring 2025 co-op position. DePuy Synthes provides the most comprehensive orthopedics product portfolios in the world. With specialties that include trauma, craniomaxillofacial, joint reconstruction, sports medicine, and spinal surgery, we are designed to advance patient care while delivering clinical and economic value to healthcare systems worldwide. Our interns and co-ops play an important role in enhancing our business. Our role will provide you with business problems to solve, coaching, mentoring and networking opportunities. You will work on projects that improve your leadership and professional skills while learning the orthopaedics business. About our Co-op: A typical spring session co-op is from January through June, with opportunity based on business needs and performance for a subsequent co-op session. Assignments will be located at a DePuy Synthes office in Warsaw, Indiana; Boston, Massachusetts; or Raynham, Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities: Work with R&D Engineers to setup design of experiments and testing environments Work with R&D Engineers to create and populate databases of critical R&D data Attend engineering and cross-functional team meetings (in-person and online) Create summary reports using good documentation practices Create design control documents Support and test mechanical, electrical and/or software designs Become familiar with medical terminology, procedures, and instrumentation Promote teamwork during internal and external interactions Present final project(s) to other engineers and leaders within department Qualifications Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an accredited college/university in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum completion of undergraduate freshman year prior to co-op start date. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Experience and Skills: Required: Legally authorized to work in the US and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H1-B, F-1) Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills Ability to balance multiple projects while delivering results Self-starter who can work independently and contribute to team goals Preferred: Leadership/participation with campus programs and/or service programs is desired.
