Meet Reality SF: We are a community following Jesus, seeking renewal in our city. Reality SF (Reality SF) is a church located in the heart of San Francisco, California. The church started with a prayer meeting in Hayes Valley. It began with just a few locals of the city who had heard about a new church community and about 13 people who had moved up from the Santa Barbara area. The first prayer meetings were full of dependence upon God and anticipation of what He might want to do. San Francisco is one of the least churched cities in the nation and by God's grace, Reality SF has grown from a few dozen people to over 2000. In August of 2021, the church moved into its new permanent facility on Valencia Street in the Mission District. Although communicating the Gospel to a diverse, progressive, and creative city like San Francisco has been one of the most challenging, yet inspiring endeavors, Reality SF continues its mission as a community of people who have been renewed by the Gospel of Jesus with the purpose of making Him known. It is their desire to communicate the unchanging truth of the person and work of Jesus Christ in a way that everyone in the city and culture can comprehend. Reality SF is part of a family of churches held closely together through relationships, a shared philosophy of ministry, and a deep commitment to the Gospel of Jesus. About the Executive Director:
Reality SF is seeking an Executive Director who is a follower of Jesus, mature in faith and submission to the Bible, and faithful in following the leading of the Holy Spirit consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the church. This position will oversee, develop and organize the staff and be responsible for aligning ministry departments while providing leadership development that supports healthy, long-term sustainability & growth of the church. This role will also organize and implement high-level initiatives with the Lead Pastor and in alignment with and in submission to the Eldership in the church. The Executive Director Responsibilities Include:
Understand Reality SF’s DNA in order to leverage the best and challenge setbacks of Reality SF’s culture. Establish and maintain a set of key performance measures (KPMs) that provide the Lead Pastor and church staff with ongoing visibility of the effectiveness of all functional areas of the church. Ensure alignment of staff to the mission & vision of Reality SF in all ministries. Provide direct or indirect support and care for the staff. This is demonstrated by oversight/accountability to KPM’s and through maintaining a pulse on what their individual and collective needs are. Motivate the staff, in love, to perform at a very high level with energy and enthusiasm and serve as a 'manager' role model. Drive efficiency and excellence and continuous improvement across Reality SF systems. Set strategic and tactical department goals and hold people accountable for results. Oversee several functions simultaneously and cultivate integration and collaboration across the organization. Lead others using relational influence in a cross-functional environment. Work within an ambiguous, fast-changing environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions. Work with Directors and Staff Ministry Leads to recruit, develop, motivate, manage, and retain talented staff teams. Provide leadership, guidance, and support for Christian spiritual formation with staff. Support and implement Reality SF’s culture and strategic initiatives of the Lead Pastor. Develop and deploy best practices for services in a tabernacle-site church environment. Learn and employ leading-edge methods to drive excellence and efficiency toward the goal of continuous learning and improvement. Perform other duties as needed. What You Bring:
Education & Experience
A bachelor’s degree from a related field is required. An advanced degree in theology and/or organizational leadership will be highly preferred. A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a leader/manager in a large church. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated leadership and organizational ability with acute attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate persuasively and compassionately, both orally and in writing.
