Purpose/Duties:

The Market President is responsible for the strategic execution and oversight of retail branch banking, production, operations, and profitability within their assigned market. This role ensures the effective implementation of sales strategies, promotes a strong sales and service culture, and develops strategies that incorporate industry best practices and competitive analysis. The Market President manages multiple branches, focusing on sales, service, risk, and operational excellence while aligning with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key Result Areas:

Leadership & Strategy:

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of branch managers to ensure consistency in operations and member satisfaction across the market. Provide guidance on developing and executing sales and service strategies aligned with Achieva’s mission. Sales & Service Culture:

Enforce a strong sales and service culture by coaching branch managers, promoting best practices, and driving performance to meet market goals. Ensure the Achieva Sales and Service Culture is adhered to by all staff. Branch Operations:

Oversee branch operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective systems are in place that meet both current and future needs. Ensure that all branches comply with risk management protocols and security procedures. Market Profitability:

Conduct ongoing analysis of branch profitability and identify opportunities for market expansion. Regularly review branch scorecards and reports to assess performance and implement improvement plans as needed. Business Development:

Develop and implement business development programs, including lead generation, external business calls, and relationship-building initiatives. Foster relationships with the community to drive membership, loan, and deposit growth. Branch Management:

Visit branches regularly (at least twice per month), review branch operations, and ensure facilities are well-maintained to provide an optimal environment for both members and employees. Staff Development:

Coach branch managers and oversee the development of their teams, conducting regular skip-level meetings and managing performance evaluations to promote consistency across the market. Financial & Operational Oversight:

Manage the annual administration of branch budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions that align with performance goals. Member & Employee Engagement:

Ensure a high level of member satisfaction while fostering a positive, fulfilling work environment for employees. Address and resolve escalated member complaints in a timely and professional manner. Compliance & Security:

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and employment law regulations, as well as Bank Secrecy Act and Privacy Act requirements. Promote diversity, inclusion, and ethical standards within the credit union. The Market President plays a critical role in the growth and success of the assigned market area, ensuring that all branches operate efficiently, employees are well-supported, and members receive high-quality service. Bilingual in Spanish helpful.

Required Education:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years financial institution experience Minimum 5 years leadership experience Required Skills:
