ActioNet has an immediate need for a
Technical Project Manager (Wireless/Telecom) . The ideal candidate will be local to
WEST COAST with state-wide travel in California
(up to 30% travel). Take charge as a
Technical Project Manager (Wireless/Telecom) , leading innovative projects that merge technical expertise with strategic leadership in wireless and telecommunications. In this role, you'll manage the design and implementation of advanced ISP, OSP, and wireless technologies, including Aruba Networks solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and scalability. With a focus on leadership and client engagement, you'll drive collaboration, effectively communicate project goals, and deliver impactful results in shaping the future of telecommunications infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for engineering telecommunications projects, including field visits to assess required materials, manpower, and timeframes for accurate project estimates and quotes to meet budgetary requirements. Effectively communicate project details verbally and in writing and develop comprehensive project documents outlining work requirements. Participate in all construction phases, including inside and outside plant installation, maintenance, and repair. Demonstrate expertise in Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) technology, design, and engineering. Analyze job costs with precision and maintain comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure materials, including cabling, fireproof materials, equipment, and safety application guidelines. Exhibit technical proficiency in the design, testing, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of network telecommunications systems. Design and integrate multiple network operating systems, protocols, and topologies, ensuring technical support and operational success. Develop standardized procedures for system operations and associated documentation. Evaluate new technologies, recommend implementations, and analyze system requirements for upgrades, including hardware/software resources, logistics, and training needs. Conduct customer surveys and collect feedback to inform process improvement recommendations. Provide lessons learned and best practices to stakeholders, including the COR, TPOC, and NCO management. Oversee production releases and roll-outs, delegate tasks, and present project progress and results. Provide a written Quality Control Plan (QCP), perform Quality Control Audits, and maintain Quality Assurance records throughout the project lifecycle. Design, deploy, configure, and maintain wireless networking solutions using 802.11 standards, including Wireless Access Points. Engineer, test, and optimize Aruba Networks solutions, including the configuration of Aruba controllers, switches, and access points. Diagnose and resolve complex wireless connectivity issues while ensuring optimal performance of the wireless network. Perform wireless surveys and site assessments to design and implement scalable wireless network solutions tailored to the environment. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience as a Network Telecommunications Engineer with a strong focus on designing and implementing network telecommunication solutions. Proficiency in 802.11 wireless networking standards and expertise in deploying and managing Wireless Access Points. Hands-on experience with Aruba Networks solutions, including configuration and troubleshooting of Aruba hardware and software. Knowledge of ISP and OSP technologies, IT infrastructure materials, and safety guidelines. Strong analytical skills for job cost evaluations and process improvements. Ability to develop comprehensive documentation and implement standardized operational procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Aruba Networks, such as Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) or Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA). Experience with wireless design tools for site surveys and performance tuning. Familiarity with security standards and practices for wireless networks, including WPA3 and related protocols. ActioNet
