Making an Impact
The Parent/Family Partner works within the Wraparound philosophy to provide direct care to identified youth, young adults, and/or caregivers in a community or home setting. The primary role of the Parent Partner is to provide 1:1 support and mentorship to parents and caregivers, and/or participants or other family members, by sharing experience and expertise in navigating systems and programs (e.g., Regional Center, Children and Family Services, Special Education Systems, Juvenile Justice Systems, Placement Services, Behavioral Health Care Services, or Residential Centers). The Parent Partner works collaboratively with the parent, caregiver, or participant and other appropriate community and treatment team members to provide the best therapeutic care possible. Along with the rest of the team, the Parent Partner is active in supporting and implementing an individualized, evidence-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach.
The team will help connect the caregiver, child, or youth to the existing array of services and supports in their community. Follow-up care will be provided to ensure the family's needs are met and the child, youth, or caregiver feel safe.

Family Partner What You Will Do The Parent/Family Partner provides direct care to identified parents and caregivers in a community or home setting. Family Partners may also provide direct care to youth or young adults. The primary role of the Parent/Family Partner is to provide one-on-one support and mentorship to parents and caregivers, and/or participants or other family members, by sharing experience and expertise in navigating systems and programs (e.g., Regional Center, Children and Family Services, Special Education Systems, Juvenile Justice Systems, Placement Services, Behavioral Health Care Services, or Residential Centers). The Partner works collaboratively with the parent, caregiver, or participant and other appropriate community and treatment team members to provide the best therapeutic care possible. Along with the rest of the team, the Partner is active in supporting and implementing an individualized, evidence-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach. Shifts Available Full Time – Monday - Friday 9 am -5:30 pm Salary Range
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $18.61 and $23.75 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Amazing Benefits: 21 PTO Days per year 9 Nationally Observed Holidays 401k matching up to 6% $150 monthly stipend for various use Affordable monthly health care premiums: Company provides $2500 for individual and $5000 for family (annually), towards co-pays. 2024-2025 Benefits Guide What You Bring to The Table (requirements): Experience advocating, preferably as the family member, for someone who has received mental health or other services. Parent Partner: Experience as a parent who has received services for a special needs child. Possess good communication skills, including active listening. High School Diploma or GED required. Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress. Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and/or competency with electronic clinical documentation Current CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record or ability to obtain one within 10 days after hire. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary mental health team. Must have access to dependable transportation and personal car insurance, meeting minimum liability coverage required for position if driving for work or transporting participants. Preferred A.A. or B.A. Degree. Prior parent mentoring experience. Experience in group facilitation skills. Familiarity with local communities. Case management, familiarity with symptoms of mental illness, and service documentation/record keeping experience. Fluency in prevailing language(s) of the community.
