POSITION:Welder/Fabricator (Night Shift)

SHIFT: Monday - Thursday 5:00 pm - 3:00 am (OT Friday and/or Saturday)

PAY RATE: $19.00 - $22.00+ per hour + $2 shift differential pay (Depending On Experience) + Full Benefits Package

LOCATION: Lubbock, TX

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
  • Learn company policies and procedures
  • Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards
  • Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead
  • Problem solve simple and non complex issues that need little judgement
  • Perform measurements within specified tolerances
  • Learn to read blueprints

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
  • Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds
  • Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld
  • Perform measurements within specified tolerances
  • Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
  • General knowledge of equipment and operations.
  • Basic understanding of Weld symbols
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
  • Accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
  • Make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
  • Be dependable and trustworthy.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 year(s) of welding experience preferred.
